Marion Body Works is recalling one 2018 International SR525 emergency vehicle with specific feature codes (12VXT or 12VXU) due to a risk of unintended vehicle movement. The problem occurs when the parking brake is applied, the automatic transmission is in Drive or Reverse, and the stationary PTO switch is engaged—under these conditions, engine RPM can increase and potentially overcome the parking brake's holding ability, creating a crash risk.
Marion Body Works will update the Engine Control Module to enable the PTO neutral interlock at no charge. Since the affected vehicle is within the manufacturer's control, no owner notification letter will be mailed.
