What happened

E-ride Industries is recalling certain 2005-2016 EXV2 and EXV4 electric utility vehicles because they may be missing a red reflector on the rear bumper. Without this reflector, the vehicles are less visible to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles do not comply with federal safety requirements for low-speed vehicles.

E-ride will notify owners and provide a free remedy in which dealers will install red reflectors to both corners of the rear bumper. The recall was expected to begin in September 2016. Affected consumers should contact E-ride customer service at 1-800-950-4351.
