Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2013-2017 Redhawk motorhomes manufactured between August 1, 2012, and June 24, 2016. These vehicles are equipped with shower curtains that may not adequately resist catching fire when exposed to an ignition source, which violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 302 regarding flammability of interior materials. A flammable shower curtain may further fuel a fire, increasing the risk of injury to occupants.
To remedy this issue, Jayco dealers will replace the affected shower curtains with fire-retardant curtains at no cost. The recall began on August 11, 2016. If you own an affected vehicle, you should contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9903318 to arrange for the replacement.
