NABI Bus, LLC is recalling certain transit buses from model years 2013-2014 equipped with compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems. The affected models include 40LFW, 35LFW, and 31LFW transit buses manufactured between February 2013 and March 2014. A bolt on the latch assembly that holds the CNG top covers closed may come into contact with the CNG fuel cylinder, potentially damaging the cylinder and causing a fuel leak.
A fuel leak in this system increases the risk of fire. NABI Bus dealers will eliminate the possible interference between the bolt and cylinder free of charge. Owners of affected buses should contact NABI Bus at 1-256-831-4296 to arrange service, and can reference recall number 20142.
