Exmark has recalled 2004 Model Lazer Z zero-turn riding mowers with 60-inch and 72-inch decks equipped with electric fuel injection engines. Due to the location of the fuel line on these mowers, a hole can develop in the line, resulting in a fuel leak that presents a fire hazard. The affected models are the LZ28KC604 (28HP with 60-inch deck) and LZ28KC724 (28HP with 72-inch deck), with serial numbers ranging from 440000-500539 and 440000-500612 respectively. The model and serial number decal can be found on the frame below the seat.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own these mowers should stop using them and contact their local Authorized Exmark Service Dealer to schedule an appointment to have a free replacement fuel line installed.
