What happened

Ford is recalling certain 2022 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 trucks, as well as 2023 E-Series vehicles. Additionally, certain 2016 E-Series, 2017 and 2019 F-450, 2021 F-350, and 2021 Transit vehicles that received reprinted labels are included. The Safety Certification Labels on these vehicles are missing critical tire information, including tire size, rim type, and tire pressure values for both front and rear axles. This missing information could result in an incorrect tire or rim being installed or incorrect tire pressure being used, which increases the risk of a crash.

Ford dealers will replace the Safety Certification Label free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 6, 2022. Affected owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to arrange a remedy. Ford's reference number for this recall is 22C09.
