What happened

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is recalling certain TKC80, ContiGo!, K62, and LB Continental Motorcycle tires due to a defect that can cause cracks longer than 3/16 inch to develop in the tread grooves. These cracks can lead to tread separation, which increases the risk of a crash. The affected tires do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119 for pneumatic tires.

Continental Tire will replace the affected tires free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 29, 2022. Consumers who believe they own an affected tire should contact Continental customer service at 1-888-799-2168 for specific tire information and to arrange replacement.
