KIDDE FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Chrysler is recalling certain Kidde brand fire extinguishers that were sold through Mopar service parts to equip various Chrysler vehicles. The extinguishers may become clogged, which prevents them from discharging properly or requires excessive force to activate. In some models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force to cause injury and make the extinguisher inoperable. These defects create a risk of injury if a fire occurs and the extinguisher fails to function.
Owners should contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or Kidde customer service toll-free at 1-855-262-3540, or visit www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information. Chrysler will notify owners and provide a replacement fire extinguisher free of charge. The recall began February 14, 2018.
