REV Ambulance Group Orlando, Inc. is recalling certain 2016-2017 ambulances manufactured between January 1 and September 30, 2016, including Marque Type III, Road Rescue Type I and Type III, Wheeled Coach Type I and Type III, Frontline Type I and Type III, and McCoy Miller Type I and Type III models. The attendant seats in these vehicles have defective seat tracks that may cause the seats to move forward rapidly during a crash or other rapid deceleration event, which could increase the risk of injury to the person sitting in the seat.
Affected owners will be notified by REV, and dealers will replace the defective seat tracks at no charge. The recall began on November 20, 2016. Owners of affected ambulances should contact REV customer service at 1-800-628-8178 to arrange for the seat track replacement.
