What happened

E-One Incorporated is recalling certain 2014-2016 E-One Cyclone II and Typhoon vehicles manufactured between January 1, 2014, and May 31, 2016, that are equipped with specific Class 1 Es-Key power control modules made by Hale Products. The affected modules may not provide adequate circuit protection based on their software and installation combination, which could cause a short circuit in the vehicle's electrical system. This short circuit could damage electrical components like headlights and increase the risk of a crash or fire.

E-One will notify vehicle owners, and dealers will repair the issue at no cost by upgrading the software or retrofitting fuses, beginning July 25, 2016. Affected consumers should contact E-One customer service at 1-904-237-1122 or Hale customer service at 1-800-533-3569 for assistance.
