What happened

E-One Incorporated is recalling certain fire truck models from 2013-2017, including the Cyclone II, Quest, Typhoon, and various models from Freightliner, International, and Kenworth equipped with Hale pressure relief valves. The rings that secure these valves can corrode after exposure to water, potentially causing the valve to open unexpectedly and reduce water pressure needed for fire fighting operations, which increases the risk of injury.

E-One will notify vehicle owners and arrange for a certified dealer or technician to install a stainless steel retaining ring at no charge. The recall began January 11, 2018. Affected consumers should contact E-One customer service at 1-352-861-3612 to arrange the free repair.
