What happened

McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2015 Atlantic front loader refuse trucks that may be missing rear and side rear red reflectors. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 22, 2015, and October 26, 2015, and are equipped with an optional tailgate for a compressed natural gas system. Missing reflectors reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers and increase the risk of crashes.

To remedy the issue, McNeilus will notify owners, and authorized dealers will install the four missing reflectors free of charge. The recall began January 8, 2016. Owners of affected trucks should contact McNeilus customer service at 1-888-686-7278 and reference recall number VSR-TSB-015.
