McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 Atlantic, Pacific, Contender, and Ultra front loader refuse trucks manufactured between March 2, 2012, and October 14, 2015, that have an optional hydraulic test port tube. The tube may crack or break, allowing hydraulic fluid to contact hot exhaust and turbo components, which increases the risk of fire.
To remedy this issue, McNeilus dealers will remove the optional hydraulic test port tube and cap off the hydraulic test inlet port at no charge. Owners should contact McNeilus customer service at 1-888-686-7278 to arrange this service. The recall number is VSR-TSB-014.
