Bentley Motors is recalling certain 2012–2015 Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur vehicles because a battery cable connection at the firewall may be loose, which could cause the cable to overheat and increase the risk of fire. The recall affects Continental GT models from 2012–2014 manufactured between February 1, 2011, and April 30, 2014; Continental GTC models from 2012–2015 manufactured between February 1, 2011, and June 30, 2014; Continental Flying Spur models from 2012–2013 manufactured between March 31, 2011, and August 30, 2012; and 2014 Flying Spur models manufactured between February 28, 2013, and April 28, 2014.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact Bentley customer service at 1-800-777-6923 to be notified about the recall. Bentley dealers will replace the battery cable securing nut at no charge. The recall began on November 17, 2015. Bentley's reference number for this recall is RE15/15.
