What happened

Piaggio Group Americas is recalling certain Vespa and Piaggio motorcycles from model years 2008-2011, including Vespa GTS, GTV, LX, S, and LXV models in 150cc and 250cc sizes, as well as Piaggio MP3 and BV Tourer models. The motorcycles are affected by a defective fuel pump that can cause the engine to stall while operating or fail to restart after sitting for 15-20 minutes, which increases the risk of a crash.
