Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2014-2015 model year Winnebago Trend, Travato, and Itasca Viva motorhomes manufactured between November 13, 2013, and December 23, 2014. The vehicles have a defective Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that may fail to locate individual tire sensors while driving. When this occurs, the low tire pressure warning light will turn on even though tire pressures are normal, which could mask an actual low tire pressure condition and prevent drivers from being notified if a tire loses air pressure.
A tire that loses pressure without warning could fail and increase the risk of a crash. To fix this problem, Winnebago will have Chrysler notify owners, and authorized dealers will update the TPMS module software at no cost. The recall began December 8, 2014. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Winnebago customer service at 1-800-537-1885 (recall number P62) to arrange for the software update.

If the TPMS light illuminates because the sensors cannot be located, it could mask an actual low tire pressure condition, possibly resulting in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Winnebago Trend, Travato, and Itasca Viva motorhomes manufactured November 13, 2013, to December 23, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may fail to learn the locations of the individual sensors while the vehicle is being driven. As a result, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate, despite the the tire pressures being within specification. Should one of the tires lose air pressure, the driver would not be notified of the change in air pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."
