What happened

Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2014-2015 Travato, 2014 Trend, and 2014 Itasca Viva! motorhomes manufactured between November 13, 2013, and February 11, 2014, and built on the Ram ProMaster chassis. In these vehicles, the accelerator pedal may become stuck in the wide open throttle position if pushed downward at a certain angle due to interference with the accelerator pedal stopper, which can cause uncontrolled acceleration and increase the risk of a crash.

Chrysler has notified owners of the recall, and dealers will replace the accelerator pedal stopper with a larger one at no cost. The recall began on March 27, 2014. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885.
