Harley-Davidson is recalling certain 2014-2015 FLS Softail motorcycles manufactured between March 25, 2013, and October 2, 2014, because they may lack a lamp-outage indicator for the front turn signals. Without this indicator, riders may not know when a front turn signal has stopped working, which increases the risk of a crash. The motorcycles fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 regarding lamps and related equipment.
Harley-Davidson will notify owners, and authorized dealers will update the body control module software at no charge to correct the issue. The recall began on November 24, 2014.
