What happened

Harley-Davidson is recalling certain 2014 model year motorcycles, including Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Ultra Limited, Police Electra Glide, Street Glide Special, Street Glide, Tri Glide Ultra, CVO Limited, CVO Road King, CVO Breakout, Electra Glide Ultra Classic Twin Cooled, Ultra Limited Shrine, Street Glide Shrine, and CVO Softail Deluxe models. A component in the clutch master cylinder may fail, which reduces the pressure needed to keep the clutch disengaged. This defect could cause the motorcycle to creep forward while the rider intends to be stopped, increasing the risk of a crash.

Harley-Davidson dealers will rebuild the affected clutch master cylinders at no cost to owners. The recall began on September 17, 2014. Owners should contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 1-800-258-2464 to arrange service, referencing recall numbers 0159 and 0160.
