Polaris Industries is recalling certain 2015 Victory motorcycle models manufactured between August 11, 2014, and September 2, 2014, due to a potential transmission defect. If the roller spring in the transmission is incorrectly installed, the transmission may not shift as intended, which could cause the operator to lose control and increase the risk of a crash. The affected models are the Cross Country, Cross Country Eightball, Cross Country Tour, Gunner, Hammer Eightball, High-Ball, Magnum, Vision Tour ABS, and Vegas Eightball.
Polaris has notified owners and will have authorized dealers inspect and repair the affected transmissions at no charge. The recall began on October 9, 2014. Owners of affected motorcycles should contact Polaris customer service at 1-888-704-5290 to arrange service, and can reference recall number V-14-03 A/B.
