What happened

PACCAR is recalling certain 2013 Kenworth T680 vehicles manufactured between November 29 and December 6, 2012, and 2013 Peterbilt 579 and 567 vehicles manufactured between August 28 and December 31, 2012. These vehicles are equipped with an air suspension dump valve option and have software that may cause the rear air suspension to unexpectedly re-inflate when the operator turns the ignition key to the "off" position, which could result in personal injury to someone near the rear suspension.

PACCAR will notify owners starting in February 2013, and dealers will reprogram the software to fix the issue. Affected consumers should contact Kenworth at 1-425-828-5000 or Peterbilt at 1-940-591-4000.
