Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
PACCAR is recalling certain Kenworth T800 and W900 trucks from model years 2007-2014 that were manufactured between March 22, 2006 and July 15, 2013. The affected trucks must have Primaax tridem rear suspensions and either a pusher and/or tag axle. These vehicles have brake chambers that take longer than required to apply or release the brakes, which means they do not meet federal safety standards for air brake systems.
The delayed brake response creates a safety hazard because it increases the distance needed to stop the truck, raising the risk of a crash. PACCAR will notify owners, and authorized dealers will modify the air brake system at no charge to affected vehicle owners. Owners of potentially affected trucks should contact PACCAR at 1-425-468-7400. The recall number for Kenworth vehicles is 13KWL.
