2012 TRANS TECH SST; 2011 TRANS TECH SST
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Transportation Collaborative, Inc. (TCI) is recalling certain 2011 and 2012 Trans Tech model SST school buses built on Ford E350 and E450 Econoline chassis. The front shoulder seat belt restraints may detach from the B-pillar anchorage during a crash due to fiberglass that failed to meet design specifications, resulting in insufficient torque at the upper torso mounting point. This condition violates federal safety standards and increases the risk of personal injury to occupants.
TCI will notify owners and provide repair instructions along with repair kits, or owners may take their buses to an authorized repair facility. All repairs will be completed at no cost to the owner. The recall began on March 15, 2012. Owners should contact TCI at 1-845-988-0419 to arrange for the necessary repairs.
