Zecong Toys' Blaze Storm manual soft bullet guns are being recalled because the suction cups on the foam bullets can detach, and some of the blue foam shafts break easily. If a child places a bullet in their mouth, a detached suction cup could block their airway. The toy guns, which come in blue, orange, and black plastic with five foam bullets in a blue cardboard box, do not meet European toy safety standards. The affected model numbers are DY093702 (item 7036A) and DY093738 (item 7063).
The recall entered into force on April 11, 2017. The importer was ordered to repair the product by destroying the bullets with suction cups and replacing them with safer bullets. The source does not specify what consumers should do with recalled products in their possession.

null The suction cups detach from the bullets and, in addition, some of the blue foam shafts of the bullets easily break. If a child puts the bullet in the mouth, the suction cup may come loose and obstruct the airways. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
