What happened

Bestar is recalling Bestar Dream Dressers, five-drawer juvenile dressers sold as part of the Juvenil four-piece children's bedroom set in brown and white colors. The dressers are 48 inches high, 30 inches wide, and 16 inches deep, with model numbers 49250-1152 (brown) and 49250-1117 (white), and share UPC number 063753045292. These dressers pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard to children that can result in death or serious injuries due to instability.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dressers and keep them out of areas where children can access them. Bestar will provide a free repair kit containing two boards, screws, a metal bracket tip-over restraint, a power drill with drill bit, new feet, and updated installation instructions and warning labels. Bestar also offers free in-home installation assistance. Alternatively, if a consumer cannot or does not wish to install the repair kit, Bestar will pick up the dresser and provide a full refund of the purchase price. Consumers should contact Bestar to arrange either option.
