Rocky Mountain Bicycles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Rocky Mountain is recalling all 2003 through 2016 model bicycles equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick-release lever on the front wheel hub. The issue involves the front quick release lever, which when fully opened, can come into contact with the front disc brake assembly if there is less than 6 mm of space between them. This contact can cause the front wheel to suddenly stop or separate from the bicycle, creating a risk of injury to the rider.
Consumers who own affected bicycles should stop using them immediately and contact an authorized Rocky Mountain retailer. The company will provide free installation of a new quick release on the front wheel to resolve the hazard.
