JAKKS Pacific is recalling Spa Factory Aromatherapy Kits and Bath Benefits Kits because carbon dioxide can build up in the jars used to make Bath Bombs, Bath Balls, or Bath Fizzies. The unvented purple lids on these jars can blow off due to pressure buildup, creating an explosion and projectile hazard. When the jars explode, citric acid from the mixture can spray into consumers' eyes, causing eye irritation, and flying pieces can damage property.
The recall affects five models: Spa Factory Bath Benefits Kit (item 37836), Spa Factory Deluxe Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain (item 37908), Spa Factory Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain (item 37837), Spa Factory Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain (item 54892), and Spa Factory Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain (item 54857). Consumers should immediately remove the jars and caps from children and contact JAKKS Pacific for free replacement jar caps with vent holes.

Pressure from the buildup of carbon dioxide in the jars of Bath Bombs/Balls or Bath Fizzies that come with the kits can cause the unvented lids to blow off, posing explosion and projectile hazards. The flying pieces also can cause property damage. Additionally, the mixture of water with the Bath Bombs/Balls or Bath Fizzies can create citric acid. This acid can get into consumers' eyes when the jars explode, posing a risk of eye irritation.
Consumers should immediately take the toy's jars and caps away from children and contact JAKKS for free replacement jar caps with vent holes.
This recall involves the purple caps on jars in the Spa Factory™ Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain and the Bath Benefits™ Kit toys. The jars are used to make Bath Bombs/Balls and Bath Fizzies.
