What happened

Douglas Company is recalling children's blankets measuring 14 inches square with an animal head sewn in the middle due to a strangulation hazard. The satin border around the blanket's edge, approximately one inch wide, can come loose. The recall affects specific styles including Cream Lamb, Cream/Tan Horse, Green Frog, Pink Horse, Blue Bear, Yellow Giraffe, Tan Pup, Yellow Duck, Brown Monkey, and Pink Bear. Only blankets with a P.O. number of 1330 or below are included in the recall, which can be identified on a white tab sewn into the blanket behind the Douglas red label.

Consumers who have one of the recalled blankets should take it away from children immediately and return it to Douglas Company. Douglas will provide either a free replacement blanket or credit toward another item of equal value in exchange for the recalled product.
