United Scientific has recalled painted magnets sold under multiple model numbers because the surface paint contains high levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. The recall affects various magnet types including ring magnets, bar magnets, horseshoe magnets, U-shaped magnets, cylindrical magnets, disc magnets, and magnetic needles in different sizes and colors. Model numbers affected include MGTKIT, MSET4, CBM050, CM7907 series, CM7912-R, MBSET6, AUM020, AUM025, ACM020, ACM050, ABM030, ABM015-E, ABM020, ABM040, ABM060, ABM010, MNSB04, MHS020, MHS030, and CMSET1.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnets. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should contact United Scientific to receive a free replacement magnet.
