Kelty has recalled certain Speedster jogging strollers due to a hazard where the handle-locking clips can unlock during use, causing the stroller to collapse. The recalled strollers have model number 20050016 and specific serial number ranges: S1000001D0504 through S1000800D0504 and S1000001D0506 through S1000200D0506. Consumers can identify the model number on a tag inside the child's seat compartment and the serial number on a sticker on the rear frame. The stroller features an aluminum frame, cloth seat, sun canopy, and two yellow handle-locking clips on each side of the frame.
According to the recall notice, affected consumers should stop using the stroller immediately and call Kelty to arrange its return. Consumers who return affected units will receive a full refund plus a free daypack. Purchasers were notified of this recall through direct mail.
