In-wall amplified volume control keypads

Amplified volume control keypads sold under the brand names Architectural Audio and HomeTech are being recalled because the amplifier in the keypad can overheat, creating a burn or fire hazard. These in-wall controls were professionally installed as part of whole house audio systems. The recalled units have white or almond switch plate covers with "aVc" (amplified volume control) imprinted above the volume control. Affected model numbers are Architectural Audio 20127 and 20128, and HomeTech 10114 and 10115, and all serial numbers of these models are included in the recall.
According to the recall notice, consumers who have these keypads should turn off and stop using them immediately and contact Dana Innovations to arrange for a free replacement. Dana Innovations distributors are directly contacting consumers with the recalled systems. Consumers should not remove the keypads from the wall to check the model number.
