Yamaha In-Ceiling and In-Wall Speakers
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Yamaha has recalled two speaker models due to a defect in the mounting clamps that can cause the speakers to fall from ceilings or walls, potentially striking consumers. The affected products are the In-Ceiling Speaker model NS-IW360C (a round speaker with a white rim and grill) and the In-Wall Speaker model NS-IW660 (a rectangular speaker with a white rim and grill and black interior). Only speakers with specific serial number ranges are affected: the NS-IW360C with serial numbers 523601 through 526800 or 600001 through 604400, and the NS-IW660 with serial numbers 500001 through 501000. The model and serial numbers can be found on both the product box and the speaker itself.
Consumers who own these speaker models should contact Yamaha to confirm whether their speakers are subject to the recall based on their serial numbers. If the speakers are recalled, Yamaha will provide free replacement speakers.
