What happened

W.P. Appliances has recalled Wolfgang Puck brand combination electric grills/griddles, model number BRTGG010, sold exclusively at HSN. The stainless steel units, which measure approximately 14.5 inches wide by 11 inches deep by 6.5 inches high and feature "Wolfgang Puck Bistro Collection" stamped on the front, have a defect in their electrical wiring that poses risks of overheating, melting, and electrical shock. The model number can be found on an ETL/Intertek foil sticker label on the bottom of the unit.

According to the recall notice, consumers who own these grills should immediately stop using them and contact W.P. Appliances for return instructions to receive a full refund.

This recall includes Wolfgang Puck brand combination electric grills/griddles with dual thermostatic controls and model number BRTGG010. The grills measure about 14.5 inches in width, 11 inches in depth and 6.5 inches in height. The model number is located on an ETL/Intertek foil sticker label affixed to the bottom of the unit. The stainless steel grills/griddles have "Wolfgang Puck Bistro Collection" stamped on the front of the unit next to the control dials. They feature a stainless steel handle used to compress the top and bottom grill plates.
