What happened

Due to a poor electrical connection, the rearview camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image, which reduces rearward visibility and increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requirements for rear visibility.

Ford will replace the rearview camera free of charge. The remedy became available on February 1, 2021, and owner notification letters were mailed that same day. Affected owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to schedule the replacement. Ford's reference number for this recall is 20C19.
