What happened

Audiovox Specialized Applications, LLC is recalling certain Relay/Capacitor Modules (part number PVOM74MMFFK) that were installed as a remedy in a previous recall for Voyager rear camera displays. These modules may prematurely fail and cause the Voyager rear camera display to lose power, preventing the driver from seeing behind the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers for affected vehicle manufacturers will remove the faulty relay/capacitor harness module and replace the Voyager VOM74MM mirror monitor with a revision E monitor at no charge. The recall began November 7, 2019. Owners should contact ASA customer service at 1-877-384-4400 for more information.

Hazard

Without the mirror monitor, the driver may not be able to see hazards behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

What should I do?

ASA Electronics, LLC. (ASA) is recalling certain Relay/Capacitor Modules in part number PVOM74MMFFK, which was the remedy part in prior recall 19E009 for Voyager rear camera displays. The modules may prematurely fail, causing the Voyager rear camera display to have a loss of power. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."
