Is my product affected?

2015 POLARIS SLINGSHOT; 2016 POLARIS SLINGSHOT

  • Brand POLARIS

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Polaris Industries is recalling certain 2015-2016 Polaris Slingshot, Slingshot SL, and Slingshot SL LE motorcycles equipped with a backup camera. The backup camera may fail internally, causing the voltage regulator to melt and the taillight fuse to blow, which prevents the taillight from functioning properly. A melted voltage regulator increases the risk of fire, and a non-functioning taillight increases the risk of crash.

Polaris will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the backup camera as necessary at no charge. The recall began January 2, 2019. Owners should contact Polaris at 1-855-863-2284 or reference Polaris recall number T-18-04.
