2019 MACK GRANITE (GU)
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2019 Mack Granite (GU) vehicles equipped with snow plow lamp preparation kits. These vehicles have a defect in their lighting system that allows drivers to operate the snow plow headlights while the marker and tail lamps remain off. This creates a visibility problem that increases the risk of a crash. Additionally, the high beam indicator light does not function when the snow plow high beams are on. The vehicles do not meet federal lighting safety requirements.
Mack will notify owners about this recall, which began on December 19, 2018. Dealers will update the snow plow lighting software at no charge to the owner. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177 and reference recall number SC0414 to schedule the software update.
