2018 MCI J4500
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Motor Coach Industries is recalling certain 2018 J4500 vehicles because the left rear taillight harness in the engine compartment may contact the engine coolant tank, causing a loss of power to the left taillight. If the left taillight does not work, other drivers have reduced visibility of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. These vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108 for lamps and reflective devices.
MCI will notify owners and dealers will inspect the left taillight wiring harness, re-routing and repairing it as necessary at no charge. The recall began on April 23, 2018. Owners of affected vehicles should contact MCI customer service at 1-800-241-2947 and reference recall number SB 461.
