What happened

Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2017-2018 Ventana, Ventana LE, and Dutchstar motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis because the low beam headlights do not illuminate when the high beam headlights are activated. This reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash and violates federal safety standards for vehicle lighting.

Newmar will notify owners, and the company will have authorized Daimler Trucks North America service facilities reprogram the Freightliner chassis module for free. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300 to report the issue and arrange service.
