Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Daimler Vans USA is recalling certain 2007-2009 Freightliner and Dodge Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vehicles due to a defect in the passenger side frontal air bag inflator. If deployed in a crash, the inflator may rupture and send metal fragments toward vehicle occupants, potentially causing serious injury or death. The rupture risk stems from propellant degradation that can occur after prolonged exposure to humidity and temperature changes.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by DVUSA, and dealers will replace the passenger side frontal air bag at no cost. The recall began on September 29, 2017. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267 for more information.
