2015 HME TYPE-6 WILDLAND; 2016 HME TYPE-6 WILDLAND
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
HME, Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2016 Type-6 Wildland trucks manufactured between January 2, 2015, and December 1, 2016. The Certification label on these vehicles may incorrectly display the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) in kilograms as 15,876 kg instead of the correct 8,845 kg, though the GVWR in pounds (19,500 lbs) is listed correctly. An incorrect weight rating could lead an operator to overload the vehicle, potentially resulting in loss of vehicle control and increased crash risk.
HME will mail a corrected certification label to owners at no cost. The recall began on February 6, 2017. Affected owners should contact HME customer service at 1-616-534-1463.
