Cummins Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2016 Cummins Power Generation Generator sets (models C60D6R, C150D2RE, C100D6R, C200D6R, C200D2RE, C275D2RE, and C300D6R) that were manufactured between December 18, 2015, and October 3, 2016. These generator sets are mounted on trailers and have faulty door hinges that may fail, causing the generator set doors to detach while the trailer is in motion.
If a door detaches from a moving trailer, it can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Cummins will notify owners and replace the hinges at no cost through authorized dealers. The recall began on December 16, 2016. Affected consumers should contact Cummins customer service at 1-800-343-7357.
