What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2016-2017 StarTrans PS2 transit buses manufactured between April 26, 2016, and October 11, 2016, that are equipped with ICU3s instrument clusters and hydraulic brakes. The recalled vehicles have a defect where the instrument cluster may display the word "PARK" instead of "BRAKE" when a brake system malfunction occurs, preventing drivers from being aware of braking problems and increasing crash risk.

Forest River will notify owners beginning January 18, 2017, and Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will replace the defective instrument clusters with new ones at no cost once they become available. Affected owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3112 or DTNA customer service at 1-800-385-4357 for more information. Forest River's recall number is 5-11212016-0274.

If "PARK" illuminates instead of the word "BRAKE," the driver will be unaware of a braking issue or malfunction, increasing the risk of a crash.

What should I do?
