What happened

Mitsubishi Motors North America is recalling certain 2017 Mirage vehicles manufactured between October 28, 2015, and August 4, 2016, that are equipped with High Intensity Discharge headlamps. These vehicles may not have the headlight horizontal adjustment locking clips properly secured, which can allow the headlights to be adjusted in ways that either reduce the driver's visibility or blind oncoming vehicles, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact Mitsubishi Motors North America customer service at 1-888-648-7820 to report their vehicle. Dealers will secure the horizontal locking clips at no charge to the owner. The recall began September 3, 2016, and Mitsubishi's recall number is SR-16-008.

Hazard
