What happened

Oshkosh Corporation is recalling certain 2016 S-Series Front Discharge Concrete Mixers manufactured between May 16 and May 25, 2016, that are equipped with Cummins ISX12 or ISX15 engines with certain engine control modules. The engine control modules may develop an internal electrical short that causes a fuse to blow, which can result in unexpected engine stall and inability to restart. This stalling increases the risk of a crash.

Cummins will notify owners, and dealers will replace the existing engine control module with a new one at no charge. The recall began on July 7, 2016. Affected consumers should contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278 or Cummins customer service at 1-800-343-7357 (referencing recall number 16E047-Cummins C1792) to arrange the replacement.

Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain model year 2016 S-Series Front Discharge Concrete Mixers manufactured May 16, 2016, to May 25, 2016, equipped with a Cummins ISX12 or ISX15 engine using certain engine control modules (ECM). These ECM's may experience an internal electrical short that can cause a fuse to blow, resulting in an unexpected engine stall without the ability to restart the engine.
