Oshkosh Corporation is recalling certain 2014-2015 S-Series concrete mixers powered by compressed natural gas that were manufactured between July 16, 2014, and June 30, 2015. These vehicles have pressure relief devices (PRD) that may fail to function properly, which could allow dangerous pressure to build up in the CNG tank if exposed to fire, potentially causing an explosion and increasing the risk of fire and injury.
To resolve this issue, Oshkosh will notify owners and have dealers inspect and replace the pressure relief devices at no charge. Affected owners should contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278 and reference recall number Emcara 15E-059 to arrange service with a dealer.
