Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Oshkosh Corporation is recalling certain 2012-2014 S-Series Front Discharge Concrete Mixer vehicles manufactured between February 29, 2012, and November 13, 2013, that are equipped with certain Cummins Westport ISL G engines. These vehicles have a defect in which excessive engine crankcase pressures may cause the 90-degree elbow of the vent tube assembly to detach from the crankcase ventilation breather. If this occurs, engine oil could come into contact with hot surfaces, creating an increased risk of fire.
To address this issue, Cummins will notify owners on behalf of Oshkosh, and dealers will secure the ends of the 90-degree elbow and reprogram the electronic control module with new software designed to adjust engine output under misfire conditions and limit crankcase pressures. All repairs will be performed at no cost. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278 or Cummins customer service at 1-800-343-7357.
