Is my product affected?

2015 OSHKOSH S-SERIES

  • Brand OSHKOSH

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Oshkosh Corporation is recalling certain 2015 S-Series Front Discharge concrete mixer glider trucks manufactured between February 10, 2015, and March 20, 2015. These vehicles are equipped with Allison HD4500 transmissions that were remanufactured by Valley Truck Parts and have a thick layer of paint on the torque converter mounting surface. During vehicle operation, this paint can soften and cause the mounting bolts to loosen.

If the mounting bolts loosen, the bolts on the torque converter bolt flange may shear, which would result in a sudden loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278. Valley Truck Parts will remove the paint from the mating surface of the torque converter and replace the bolts at no charge. The recall began on May 8, 2015.
