Elpers Truck Equipment is recalling certain 2013-2016 Peterbilt, International, Dodge, and Ford trucks equipped with IMT cranes (models 6000, 7500, 8600, 9500, 10000, 12000, and 14000) that were manufactured between April 4, 2013, and January 22, 2016. The valve bank cover on these cranes may crack and detach during transport, creating a road hazard that could cause crashes.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact Elpers' customer service at 1-877-244-4596 to arrange for the remedy. Elpers dealers will replace the valve bank cover with a thicker gauge cover at no cost to the owner. The recall began on May 25, 2016, and owners can reference recall number TB2016001 - IMT dist when contacting customer service.
