What happened

Great Lakes Manufacturing Inc. is recalling certain model year 1998-2016 Drywall Pup trailers manufactured between January 1, 1998, and April 29, 2016. The rear impact guards on these trailers do not extend within 4 inches of the side of the vehicle, which means they do not meet federal safety requirements for rear impact protection. If the rear impact guards do not stretch the required length, they can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Great Lakes will notify owners, and dealers will retrofit a new rear impact guard at no charge. The recall began on June 29, 2016. Affected owners should contact Great Lakes customer service at 1-920-842-2012.
